Madame Koiteh is a family-owned business that exports high quality natural products from West Africa and manufactures specialized hair and skin care products. Many of our products are designed to address the needs of Global African and ethnic hair. We use only the finest ingredients and incorporate natural and organic ingredients in an innovative way. We also feature a fine selection of handcrafted items, including artisan soaps created by our own master soapmaker and herbalist. Our company bears our family's ancestral name from The Gambia, West Africa. Madame Koiteh stands for the pride, excellence, and heritage of our family tradition.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
We are not just a business, we are a family, dedicated to uplifting our future generations. At Madame Koiteh, we believe in promoting peace, prosperity, justice, and health for all of humanity. Our most beloved convictions are:
1. That people matter. We treat everyone with dignity and respect. In our business, we pay a fair price and charge a fair price for our goods.
2. The Earth is our home, a sacred mother to be respected and cherished. We recycle and use recycled goods whenever possible, including shipping materials. We work tirelessly to develop products with natural ingredients that are healthy for you and the Earth. We support projects that replenish the environment and sustain wildlife and natural habitat. We do not use palm oil from deforested areas; our palm oil comes from the abundant natural palm trees of West Africa.
3. The unity and self-sufficiency of Global Africa must be restored through economic development, education, and personal empowerment. We are proud to do business with African entrepreneurs, manufacturers, shippers, and farmers to empower the African communities on the continent, in the United States, and the Caribbean. We hope one day to see African people everywhere enjoying the standard of life that provides happiness, health, prosperity, and dignity. In the meantime, we strive to contribute to that goal by donating 5% of our net profits to charitable organizations and projects that improve the quality of life in West Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States. You can read more about our charitable giving at our blog.
4. Truth above all. We build our business on the conviction that honest, diligent work leads to success. We hope that you agree.
Our family history includes many generations of spiritualists and natural healers, and we are proud to continue to offer our services to the world today. We are committed to providing expert customer service to our wholesale and retail customers.
